Do humans give purpose to the Universe?
Mike Burden will argue that evolution is blind and the appearance of intelligent, conscious humans responded only to selection pressures. There is no particular value to be ascribed to humans over other life.
George Jelliss will argue from a different perspective, that although humans evolved only by chance they are nevertheless special in that they give purpose to the Universe and this makes Humanism so important.
This is a members only session (membersip forms will be available). Why not come along and put them both right?
